The Debian community is one of the largest and most active free software communities in the world. Over 1200 members and contributors from around the globe are responsible for developing and maintaining the Debian GNU/Linux distribution, one of the most popular and stable on the market.
In this talk, we will explore the history of operating systems, discuss about licenses, discover the organization and structure of the Debian community. We will summarize how decisions are made, how work is organized, and how conflicts are resolved. We will also learn about the different roles and teams that exist within the community, and the various ways in which you can participate.
