Jongmin has been a Debian Developer since 2024.
He contributed to the Rails 6.0.0 transition, preparing it and its dependencies for upload to experimental, as part of Google Summer of Code 2019. He has primarily supported packages that required additional manpower. His first contribution involved packaging dependencies for the micro text editor at DebConf18.
As the chief organiser of DebConf24 in Busan, he led the bid and played various key roles in organising the conference, with deep gratitude for the support of a large team of local and global volunteers.
He has attended DebConf18, DebConf19, DebConf23, and DebConf24.
